Some of the world’s most famous monuments, including the Empire State Building, London Eye, Christ the Redeemer, Buri al Arab and the Obelisque in Paris are set to go blue on Saturday Nov. 14 in recognition of World Diabetes Day. So far more than 660 monuments all over the globe have agreed to bath in blue to show support for people with diabetes and raise awareness of the disease.
The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) also announced it has launched two short videos in preparation for World Diabetes Day. They are titled “Understand Diabetes, Get Involved” and “Diabetes Blue Circle – Wear & Share” and can be seen below.
