Diabetes is growing among all age groups, but kids under the age of five are being diagnosed with the disease at twice the rate of any other age group, according to a recent video report on Fox.
While this statistic is reason for concern, it is unclear whether the data is an indication of a trend in the disease or the result of children visiting the doctor more frequently than other age groups. However, parents should be on the lookout for some of the classic symptoms, such as dramatically increased thirst, abnormal sleeping patterns (too much or too little), irritability and fatigue, among others.
