Bret Michaels On The Road Again

Rocker Bret Michaels is forging ahead with his concert tour and his upcoming reality television show, despite several recent serious medical setbacks, according to an article from CBC News.

Michaels, a Type 1 diabetic, was rushed to the hospital for an emergency appendectomy in April. Shortly after the surgery, he suffered a life-threatening brain hemorrhage. After that, he had a warning stroke and found out that he had a hole in his heart. However, he has made a miraculous recovery and won the Celebrity Apprentice reality television show in May and made an appearance on the American Idol finale. Michaels, who is back on tour this week, told Billboard magazine that he is “not doing anything stupid” and that being back on stage is “good for his soul.” He also noted he is being very cautious.

The pilot of Life as I Know It, Michael’s latest VH1 reality show debut recently and new episodes are set to air in the fall.
