Hip-Hop Group ‘A Tribe Called Quest’ Reunites for Diabetes Fundraiser

A Tribe Called Quest, which last released an album in 1998, reunited on stage during a diabetes benefit at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY recently, according to a report in the Urban Daily.  

The hip-hop group performed at the benefit, which was put together by the group’s own Phife Dawg, a Type 1 diabetic. Phife Dawg, known as “the funky diabetic” was diagnosed with Type 1 in 1990 and in recent years has experienced significant diabetes-related health problems.
