While green tea has often been touted as a natural remedy to help control diabetes, black tea may actually benefit those with the disease more, according to a study in the Journal of Food and Science. Researchers examined the polysaccharide levels of black tea, green tea and oolong tea. Polysaccharides retard the absorption of glucose in the body, according to the blog OrganicJar.com.
