Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who has Type 1 diabetes, was crushed in Sunday night’s game against the New York Giants. In fact, the bear’s offensive line was so porous it allowed a record-setting nine sacks in the first half of play. Cutler made several questionable plays (missing reads, holding the ball for too long, or moving in the wrong direction), leading a Chicago Sun Times columnist to question what role diabetes may have played in Cutler’s performance.
