Next Step for Artificial Pancreas is ‘Home Study’

As we reported on Tuesday, the Artificial Pancreas project is making significant progress and may be available in just a few years (see: Artificial Pancreas May Be Right Around the Corner). Researchers speaking at the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) meeting in Orlando, Florida noted they recently completed a study in which patients using an artificial pancreas overnight were able to improve their blood sugar control without a greater risk of a hypoglycemic event. Scientists Discover 12 New Genetic Links to Type 2 Diabetes
